New Delhi. Defense Minister Rajnath Singh said here on Thursday that the country's nuclear test in 1998 sent a message to the world that India may be a peace-loving country but it will not tolerate any step taken against self-respect. Addressing the National Technology Day celebrations here, Singh said India learned a lesson from history after external invaders destroyed the educational center at Nalanda and the cultural icon at Somnath.
